The Miller's Tale is, as you might expect, an even bawdier affair, updated by Pete Bowker, in which a flash conman (Cold Feet's James Nesbit) descends upon a Kent karaoke pub and sets about separating the landlord (Dennis Waterman) from both his ready cash and his nubile young wife (Billie Piper in her first major TV role) by posing as a music biz manager. Nico Ramsden plays all the guitars beautifully, as score mixes with source music in the film's karaoke setting. Elsewhere a presumptious little bossanova raises its head. Watch closely and you might glimpse Kevin duetting drunkenly with Hurricane Club pal Gary Spinks in 'King of the Road'...

Both episodes are directed by John McKay, and no doubt will cause quite a stir in the Autumn schedules for their free and, er, adult interpretations...
